All the damned amber and jade I've sold to the merchants, about time the prices came down.
What I'd really like to see is a means to sell more than one unit at a time to the rare material trader though. Even blocks of five would save time.

the 15k tag on the armor itself is high enough for my tastes. having bought 15k kurz and lux warrior (sentinal set), 15k kurz mes, and 15k kurz rit (including extra pieces to run different builds), thats 420k right there NOT including amber and other materials needed. amber was 2k when i got the warrior and mesmer, so as you can imagine i was happy to see it at 1k when i got the rit armor.
if you just want the highest AL, buy 1.5k non kurz/lux, if you want "leet" buy FoW. as for me, i just think the 15k kurz (and some lux) look tons better than anything out there, and id be just as happy with amber/jade selling for 50 gold.

Currently, i have 10 amber in stock on my account and it all thanks to doing random quests and missions for faction points.

I like the price being this cheap so that if i need to get the armors, i could simply buy the ambers or jades without spend countless hours farming for it.

The 15k kurzick and luxon armors are losing their elite status (or semi-elite) and are becoming just as common as any 15k armors ingame. About 6 weeks ago a 15k kurzick armor costed almost 1/2 of a FoW armor to make (300k+ while at that time ectos were under 5k)
Neither Jade nor Amber aren't any good for holding them for value as they will keep going down. We can only predict how low will they stop.
As of now there are no real elite armors except fissure, and even those are very common nowadays. I miss the times when only very few could afford them.

Amber and Jade prices are dropping because they are not really that difficult to obtain. Also, from what I read in some of the forums, some guild and alliance players have given up farming faction for the guild because there are ferries to elite missions and they realized that owning a town and having the 20% discount is actually un-economic. It takes millions of faction to own a town, and simply getting amber/jade and selling it is a lot more profitable. Actually, normal farming is alot more profitable. Besides, faction farming is incredibly boring, I just did the same run over and over again to get my 15K armor back when amber was 2.5K. Was the most boring crap ever, I actually ended up buying half the amber at 2.5K a piece just to get it over with and go farming normal monsters for wealth at a lesser rate.

Just a hunch, but since the NPCs we trade our faction to for Jade/Amber are [Faction Rewards] NPCs, plural Reward, I'm guessing the Devs planned well ahead and left these NPCs wide open for many other faction trade items in the future. It could also be another reason they capped either faction at 10,000 points, to eliminate faction point hoarders in the event they do offer some new items for trade (yes, I know, there's literal reasons now as to a 10,000 cap, but this is good planning for future uses).
Just my 2 cents worth

Not so sure about that. On one side, a horde of PvEers would flock into tombs just like into AvA, but then on the flip side, they'd get kicked out of there pretty quickly because tombs is NOT AvA.
Although sell balth faction = good. Even if option would only be enabled after you unlocked everything. There's gotta be something you can do with it and not just sit at 10k until the new skills come out.

No, just leave the system alone. Why should A-Net do anything to keep the prices up? And honestly, the new faction gain in the two competitive missions is not a factor towards the cheapness of amber and jade anyways. Duelfarming or Supply Runs are STILL a LOT faster.
The true reason behind the drop in price is simply that the new armors have lost their "freshness" factor. A lot of people allready have bought their version, many don't like them at all, that leaves just a few people really going for the armor.
Or to give another example, should we artificially make mesmer items (Runes, weapons, armors) a lot more expensive? No, of course not. There just is no demand for mesmer items as is with Amber and Jadeite anymore.

If you maybe read more clearly about what I said, I Never forced my opinion onto you Im just merely encouraging people to express ideas, the main things I was interested in seing was more uses for jade and amber sieng as it can only be used to purchase armour, A whole 2 sets.
Like some one mentioned it seems like a waste of a reward. Though it being cheap is proberly cool lol.

Listen. In towns, the quality of the armour skin is toned down, to make the towns easier to run around in. YOUR armour always is high quality, but other people's armour is always grainy in town. Find a picture/someone with FoW (preferably warrior, looks the worst in town to others) and take a look. Very good texture, not pixellated at ALL! THEN look at other armour in town, preferably someone with the same set as you. Note the difference.
And about the Jade/Amber- it's GOING to drop. Supply runners are putting massive amounts into the economy, whereas the initial demand is going down. Many people definitely foresaw this.
